ABOUT WILLIAM

William Wegert began training in movement at age 7. Martial arts became a career at 16-years-old where he learned how to break things down in a way that adults and kids could understand. 

Within dance his primary focus is teaching the structure, systems, and technique that make up dance. Living by the motto, “it’s not about what you do, it’s about how you do it,” he believes that even the most simple of dances can feel the most amazing. 

William continues to contribute and develop the Zouk dance family by taking the lessons of his teachers—Kuna Hamad, Gui Prada, Anderson & Brenda, Jerry Lai, Tim Wegert, and others—and blending them with his own unique perspective. 

His top goal: Be among the top Zouk social dancers in the world. He’s well on his way, rarely going a day without hitting the dance floor.
